Solvers maintain an inventory of SEDA Tokens to perform their function in participating in the communication of data requests between data requesting networks and SEDA. Whenrelaying a data request for processing on the SEDA Network, Solvers utilize SEDA Tokens in the value of the data request.
A Solver offers a quote to the data requestor based on:
The cost of the data that is set by a provider
The cost for computation and gas on SEDA
The reward to be distributed to overlay compute nodes for participation in the specific request
The Solver's service fee
The quote presented to the data requestor is presented in a currency selected by the Solver. This could be any currency. Once the data requestor accepts the quote, the Solver relays the data request to the SEDA Network in an equal value of SEDA Tokens, minus the Solver's service fee, which is locked in the Prover Contract.
The SEDA Tokens representing the request's value are then distributed to the data request participants (Overlay Compute Nodes and Data Providers).
As part of settling computation and gas costs, a percentage of the SEDA Tokens used for gas will be burned. This percentage is not fixed and can be adjusted via decentralized governance proposals facilitated by SEDA Token holders.
